New York City sets where shared e-scooters may ride, how fast they may go and where they may be left. The Ride by iPakket app shows those limits on the map before you unlock, and the scooter itself warns you when you cross into a slow zone, a no-parking zone or a no-ride zone.
Where you can ride
Ride in the bike lane where there is one, and with traffic where there is not. Sidewalks are not available to scooters anywhere in the city.
Where you can park
Any legal bay inside the service area shown on the map. The app asks for a photo of the parked vehicle to end the trip, which is what keeps sidewalks clear and feeds the parking compliance reports shared with the city.
